Collector's Corner Flyers through the years - The 2000's

Civic Theatre Chelmsford, Flyer Nov 2003.

The Civic Theatre, Chelmsford for the final time, mounted it's own officially licensed production of the Rocky in 2003, with old Hanley actor Richard Kates back in the corset as Frank.

As always the set and direction of the show was again slightly reminiscent as the Theatre Royal Hanley Tour and even ex Hanley actor Andrew Ryan who had played The Narrator in the 1999 production of Rocky at Chelmsford returned again this time to play Riff.

This back to basics threadbare production was a great contrast to the official big budget UK tour that year, they even had to borrow a huge peacock feathered boa from 1999 Frank Ceri Dupree for Franks floorshow costume!
