Once in a while (see what I did there) you hear about a new Rocky Horror related product that you think "this could be interesting". Then you get a copy in your hands and you realise that "interesting" is the wrong word. The Rocky Horror Cookbook, an officially licensed item, is done with so much love and appreciation for the subject that it is going to be one of my most treasured merchandise items.

There is a nice foreword by Richard O'Brien in the form of a poem about food. It's very Richard!

There are 50 recipes in the book, all with a Rocky theme. The recipes are created by Kim Laidlaw, an author of several cookbooks. Each recipe has a little introduction relating the recipe to the show. These range from fun facts about the stage show to plot outlines.

The recipes are all in American measures, luckily there is a conversion page (p115) for everyone else in the world that uses the metric system.

The book is packed with Rocky images, some of which I have not seen before as well as some amazing illustrations (including the cover) by Vince Ray. Most of the recipes also have a photo of the resulting food/drink.

Overall, a wonderful book. Done with love and a great addition to any Rocky Horror collection.
