Richard O'Brien's new Album was released in the UK on the 22nd February 1999.

TimeWarp had the first image of the new CD anywhere on the net, reproduced with permission of course.

Please note the background colour of the CD and Sleeve Notes is very magenta and will not reproduce correctly on all computers (so don't blame me if the CD you buy is a slightly different colour from the scans on this page!)

Released on Medical Records (number DOCTORCD1) this new album from Richard O'Brien contains eleven tracks, some you will recognise if you are a fan of 'Mephistopheles Smith' Angel in Me & Incubus of Love to name but two.

Much as I hate stereotyping anything in this world, if pushed to give those who haven't heard the album an overall idea of what the music is like I'd have to say the album is best described as 'Apartment Jazz'. It's not the Rock 'n' Roll of Rocky Horror by any means, it's a lot softer and a the tracks deserve to be listened to several times to really start to appreciate the depth of the lyrics. I have to say I've really grown to love this album after a few plays through, and I don't mind saying Angel in Me makes me feel quite emotional at times.

The Tracks:
1. Incubus of Love (6:50)
2. It's up to you (4:11)
3. Ain't that to die for (2:56)
4. Fixation (4:18)
5. The Dance of Love (3:04)
6. One Hundred Dollars an Hour (4:01)
7. Rhythm of the Heartbeat (4:04)
8. I've been there before (3:53)
9. Running with the Noisy Boys (3:28)
10. I will always hold you in my Heart (3:20)
11. Angel in Me (5:19)

The Packaging:

The first thing to say about the packaging is it is very Magenta! The scans on this page were the best I could get from it and even then Photoshop had it's work cut out to get the colour as close as it is.

The front cover image was the same one used for the New Rocky Horror Show brochures and web site and was created by Shaun Webb.

The CD has a small booklet included with around nine images, including some stills from the promotional video for Angel in Me. Trivia Time: Look at the woman in the background of the top left image, that's Stephanie with very little on (but what's new there!)

You'll be glad to know that the booklet also features full lyrics to each and every song on the album. There are the usual credits but no additional information on Richard or 'Mephistopheles Smith'
