Released by 'Encore' the production run of this two disc set was limited to just 500, making it a very rare collectors item nowadays. There are no plans to re-release the Laser Disc, if you have one, hang onto it! The movie spaned the two sides of the first disc, with the break/turnover point just after Dr.Scott arrives. Unlike the US releases the film was re-edited slightly on one of the wipes from one scene to the next so it wiped to black before the side change, then wiped from black at the start of the other side, making it less of a cut than the US versions. The film is the UK print (T92' onwards) which includes the song 'Superheroes' and the second disc contains all the video extras of the USA 20th anniversary box set. It does not come with the book, CD, or brochure that was included in the USA box set though. On the plus side the packaging was designed to tie in with the 21st anniversary VHS release in the UK, and features the bloody writing in a metallic red finish, there are also new sleeve notes on the back and inside gatefold of the disc. Until the DVD release this was the highest video resolution version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show available. (UK LD resolution was higher than the US, but we only ever got two audio tracks, not AC3 for UK discs I'm afraid, oh for a world standard in video as well as audio!) Trivia fact: The sleeve/gatefold text was not the USA version, I was asked to write it from scratch and even got a writers credit on the back of the cover. TimeWarp also got our logo and address on the disc gatefold.
Full uncut version of this all-time cult classic film, including the song "Superheroes" which has not appeared in any previous release anywhere Digitally re-mastered in its original widescreen ratio (1.85:1) Contains an hour of bonus collector's material, including a 36 minute production documentary, deleted scenes, multiple alternate takes of several sequences (with extra footage), two theatrical trailers, two "Sing-A-Long" songs and an alternative ending Tie-in with Twentieth Century Fox's heavily-publicised video release.
