Message: Saw RHPS live in Bristol last week as a "Virgin" - didn't know the story or any of the characters. Was very impressed - great costumes, special effects and performances. That includes Nick Bateman as narrator!
I realise that may be going against the general tide of opinion, but, not having any expectations of what the narrator should be like, or any other shows to compare it with, it was easier for me to accept the character he created of a rather creepy story-teller in a velvet suit as part of the story.
I thought his character was a good contrast and 'foil' for the other more exotic characters. And, at least when I saw him , he did well considering his inexperience and the fact he doesn't have a naturally flambuoyant or out-going personality.
Perhaps the problem is he joined the show 30 years too late - if the 'creepy story-teller' had been a part of the original show when it first started, maybe by now his character would be as familiar as all the rest and velvet suits would be part of the dress-code!

Message: Thanks for providing a link for fans to complain about Woking on Saturday night. We were some of the fans in costume who found ourselves in the second row having booked for the first row months ago. Apparently the argument from the theatre was that as the new front row was not as long as the original one then not every one would have been able to be moved forward. Personally I would have taken my chances if it allowed the front row to be occupied by true fans in costume, even if I was not one of them.
It's even worse when the RHS Co. have been pushing all these offers to guarantee true fans the best seats.
The theatres cannot be allowed to get away with it.
Ooh that feels better now I've got that off my chest.

Message: Well, bonfire nights here, ..."it's the only bang you're ever going to get sweetheart." (sorry just come over all "Priscilla" and I've have had time to think about the shows I saw in Scotland. Great to see the Gang from Belfast and Marty co. The show is much better than Bromley, Helped not hindered by Jon understudying as Frank for Jonathon. He has a harder edge than Jonathon and also copes with the hecklers better. Also Phantom Andrew (Madge) hurt his leg playing Riff during the Timewarp so I hope hes better. Bless :( Ronna was a revelation, sailing through the show with a grin and a wicked gleam in her eye. (Although what she was up to that made her miss her cue for Once in A While that left Brad sat in Silence on stage is anyones guess!) At the stage door she said she was only doing the Scottish dates which is a shame, although she hinted that she may do Belfast. On a different note some of the BBC news readers will be doing some somgs from RHS for Children in Need (I'ts for Charity mate!) So check the papers for details........
In my Usherrette cozzy! Yeah it still fits!!!!

Message: Hoopla, and a late Happy Halloween to all! Hope there was plenty of dressing up (or down!) as your favorite character and lots of de-virginizing of friends! Last year I went as Magenta, but this year.....well, I really need to work on the others costumes. And since it was a special Anniversary for me Mum and Dad, (yes, my parents were married on Halloween! Makes sense, yes?) I didn't want to offend anyone. -Grimace- So......I went as Mr. Hand from 'Dark City'! And Daddy loved it! -sinister laughter- Love and peace to all!
Mr. Hand, yes!Halloween, tricks n treats, and havin' a good tiiiime!

Message: Hello there fellow Rocky fans! Well, I was at the show last night in Aberdeen. I've been a fan for years but last night has just brought my obsession to incredible new hights! We were lucky enough to have Jonothan Wilkes playing Frank and not his understudy. It was amazing although I felt a bit stupid being one of the only ones shouting the responses. However, all the virgins in the house got a good laugh when I was the only one to scream "she looked like shit!" My face went red but I was too happy to care! Rhona Cameron as the Narrator only made the show better!
What really made my night though was going to a bar later on and sitting drinking with Graham Tudor (who played Rocky) and Andy Brady (the stud himself playing Brad that night.) It was a fantastic laugh and I am all set for Rocky Horror night at Flares bar on Saturday night! happy and fanatically obsessed....Arran xxx

Richard O'Brien - without him there would be no Rocky. I love him so much!
