3rd Sat late show over at Manchester. Bev Callard absolutely

marvelous, especially with the crude "mouth" who went way past the line with

his personal comments to her. The reaction of the rest of the audience let him know

he wasn't funny.



2 sets of chaotic roadworks going into Manchester - - and another set trying to

get out of Manchester. Chaotic parking while there.

Went to 2nd Saturday, late show, at Manchester and heard one of the last ones coming

out of the earlier show say to her friend " Oh my God - my eyes are bleeding ". As she

was young but not "Rockified" in her dress style, I can only assume she had just lost

her Rocky Virginity. By the smile on her face I also assume she'll be going again.

My fisrt time of coming along to the the Rocky Horror Picnic at Oakley Court, I had a terrific time and loved the atmosphere and meeting others at the event, I am glad I listened to the encouragement of my wife and came along.



I am already looking forward to next years Picnic with Room booked at Oakley Court already.

I recently made a train journey which stopped at Koln station in Germany. The RHS

was playing across the way in a theatre. It took me back to a wet night in 1973,and

Rockys first night at the Theatre Upstairs in London. I played drums for that show and

on the original cast album.

Who would have thought it huh ? Happy days

Well, the new tour is announced, but have checked the prices at the first tour - -and

found it to be a bit eye-watering. Tickets ( with fees ) can be over £60 EACH. - - OUCH.



Rocky is the only social outings I get. This may be my last lot of shows..

was there with 2 friends (one a virgin who had the best time) and my sister and fellow

Rocky Buddy. Now into our 32nd year as fans, and it still delivers every time. Well

Leicester - Sat nt - As all the fans, in their Rocky finest, arrived at the theatre a door in the building opposite opened and out spilled what I assume were people from an Asian celebration/wedding? Their photos must have had an interesting backdrop. Saris at the front, and in the background, heels, corsets, fishnets and French Maids outfits.

Leicester Fri nt - lovely theatre - even enough legroom for me. There was a large lady in pyjamas dancing to the timewarp and just in front of me were 3 young girls - the middle one - sour faced and never smiled or laughed all the show - -filmed the large laqdy dancing - -clearly it is already on the ? - - the large lady was enjoying herself - -the "filmer" can only be described as very very nasty person indeed.

May her life give her what she deserves.

Sheffield Fri and Sat nt. Fri night - TOO LOUD. Sat night - different Frank to Fri nt. Sat nt spoilt by a group of constant shouters - who then had to cackle at every one of their own (non) hilarious comments. A friend who was going with 3 mates had two phone her to say they "couldn't go" - with a lame excuse - -their tickets had been paid for - - and one of those who cancelled was going to drive !!! - Luckily I was able to divert and pick the other two up - who had a good night - one was a Rocky virgin - glad to have helped take her "virginity" - OOOOOOH !!!!

Stoke Sat nt - said hello to loved-up Rob ( he should have got a room for his antics). Show great, Sound great ( thanks soundman ) and the fans were the best I've come across ( stop it - -not meant in THAT sense ) - A really good lot - very little shouting in the songs and vast majority of the audience had dressed from what I saw.



A BIG BIG thank you to all those who went to the show Sat nt at Stoke - you made my first time there memorable.



Surprised no Norman - -or I missed his headdress if he was there.



Fri and Sat nt at Sheffield next - -Same at Leicester ( Leicester seems hardly booked according to website - lots of spare seats last time I looked yet it's got a car park next door with prepaid cheap parking available for theatre )- -then Milton Keynes and Leeds.



C'mon Northampton. Get it booked.

After several weeks of unable to go to a show ( distance) I looked forward to Aylesbury Sat nt - even though it's the longest drive for me. I love the theatre having car parks nearby ( can't walk far) but I was VERY disappointed otherwise. I don't know about those upstairs but it looked as if half of those downstairs had just done the weekly shop at the supermarket then turned up at the theatre as an afterthought. Nobody could blame the weather for turning up wrapped in coats and fleeces.



As for the show itself - either my ears are going or something was going wonky with brad's mike when he was singing - it just seemed a total mush at times, words became just a noise. As for the TW itself - are the band seeing how fast they can play it ???.



And the soundman - - does he think everyone there is already deaf - or is he trying to make them deaf? I actually saw other people wincing, as well as me, as not only could we hear it - -we could actually FEEL the noise - and I wasn't even near the speakers.



Hope Nottingham, Stoke, Leeds, Leicester x2, Sheffield x2, Milton Keynes and hopefully Northampton - if it books it - are better.

bit of info for those who will go to Aylesbury and stay over. Have look on google maps - there appears to be a Travelodge virtually behind the theatre, and a supermarket for any late night last minute needs - -don't know if they would appreciate us going in there in costume.

I have not been to Manchester or Birmingham since the last tour. Have looked on google maps for parking but see nothing close enough for Birmingham ( bad back - can't walk far ) and Manchester only has the street opposite with a few spaces. Google maps currently show ~BOTH venues to have a lot of "Tram?" works very close. Can anyone help with any info? - are the works finished? Should they be finished by the time the show is there?

private rocky horror party as we've discovered that a large number of our friends

have never seen it.



I previously stuck to dressing up as Eddie but for this I'm going all out and Franking

up. even bought myself a pair of high heels (new respect for women has resulted).

I went to the Leicester show on Friday night - -and now am mentally scarred for all eternity - -the lady who was sat next to (total stranger) put her head on my shoulder, sat on my lap at the break - tickled me with the feather - and laid across my lap later - and even went down to the stage at the end , climbed onto the empty stage - and proceeded to dance. - the people round our seats may have assumed we were together but I can assure you all we are not. - -this lady had no fear of anything -and I admire her for her spirit in life - - the experience of meeting her was awesome - -other details will not be put here - -just to protect the innocent - -ME



if you are reading this RVS - -had a look for an advert for the other date in Leicester - -cannot find it - and you didn't put a phone number for what I assume is the agency you work for



again - -it was genuinely fantastic to meet you - I would say that I have never met any one like you - -but I very much doubt that there is anyone else like you.

I have told my ex workmates many many times that should they go to the show be careful what you think should you spy a great pair of legs in stockings - they could well be attached to something other than you first thought. - - after seeing the photos for Bristol - -page 2 end of fourth row - I now find myself in the same position - -the tall person on the left - -the height says male but congrats on the legs - cannot see any male having legs that good.

Glasgow show last night (Friday): AMAZING!! In over 25 years of going to see the

show, this has to be the best production/cast ever. Oliver Thornton was on top form

and played Frank with the perfect mix of comedy (tears threatening my mascara),

menace and outrageously sexy . The lovely Mr Luscombe was perfect and clearly

enjoying his role very much-fab comebacks to the audience shout-outs. Ben, so

lovely and holds on to his title of Best Brad Ever in my eyes My sister who has

been my Rocky companion, had grown away from it for a few years, but this

production has brought her back into the fold. Well done all!

Manchester sat early show - -dani looks soooooo wrong with being so little - she honestly reminded me of a child playing dress up. - -did like the show having less shout outs than normal - only one person near me went on and on. - - -why don't the announcer say that SHOUTOUTS are NOT wanted during songs? - mr franks - who I cant stand on tv -was on fine form. - - -I know this bit nothing to do with RH but the theatre staff were letting people go down the steps to the stalls - -checking their bags -then making them go UP again to put the stuff in the cloakroom. WHY COULDNT THEY HAVE BEEN CHECKED AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS ??? STUPID STUPID STUPID.

sheffield friday night - -agree with frank going straight into 2nd line of faywray - -stops - hopefully - the getting efffed by a giant gorrilla line - which i think is crap - - -but all the rest of the show seemed so rushed - when janet does the "if only" bit - i think its hilarious when the audience replies to her - -but she said them all as if one line.



also well done to mr franks on putting down one chap - -" i am sure the audience all wish you well with your battle against tourettes"



and somebody shouted - to mr franks - describe your balls - -to which he had to reply with " dark . . . heavy . . . .and pendulous" - - -very funny twist on the usual.



oh well - -soon be time to go back to sheffield - - and see it again at the sat night showing.

What can I say Glasgow!!! Fantastic show, fantastic cast (Ben possibly my favourite

Brad EVER!) Decided since it's coming back here in August, it would be rude not to

get tickets, so ordered them this morning second row, so almost perfect.

Only thing that nearly made a grown woman cry....and the dozen or so fans waiting

with me....was the fact that the lovely Mr Thornton escaped through front door of

theatre and not by stage door, leaving us standing in the cold for an hour before we

were told he'd left. Dedication or daft? However, he was SO amazing as Frank, I've

already forgiven him

had a look aat the australian goods on sale there years ago - - in collectors corner on this website - -the designs on the t shirts seem odd - -has anyone seen the show in oz - -and can say wether the outfits depicted on the tshite are relevant to the show down there - -they just look so wrong - -assume the film is the same everywhere - -but does the show have totally different clothing for different tours???

the audience at the show can always amuse me - -"what is under the plain outer clothes?" - -while waiting for the show to start i saw a lady of about 65-70 enter - -smart - hair styled nicely - -ankle length "fur" coat. looked like a typical middle class lady - - - I thought that she may be a bit shocked at the audience and the way they were dressed - plus the content of the show- -until she got to her seat -slipped her coat off her shoulders to reveal what was probably the shortest french maids outfit in aylesbury that night !!

first show seen - sat nt at aylesbury -must say sandy looked that gorgeous there should have been a warning out what would happen to your blood pressure on seeing her. also the other lady down the front in the gold corset and boots - -both of you - -WOW - I hope your partners appreciate you !! they are lucky people.



the show- philip franks - ok - would see him again - still dont like him on the telly !!

roxanne - no complaints though didnt realise she was so tiny - -are we actually going to be able to see dani harmer ??

did i miss the line - "the moon drenched shores"



OT - to be honest - preferred david bedella in the role - think david has better voice - in one song olivers voice went - -thought it was my age doing my hearing but noticed people around me were also looking puzzled.



time warp - -was it me or did they seem to be trying to get everyones arms going round that fast someone would take off??? - sung too fast - definitely. and - unless it was very quick and i didnt notice it - -NO EFFING GANGNAM. HURRAH - - HOPE TO NEVER SEE IT AGAIN



loved the way oliver went straight into the second line of "fay wray" - someone tried the shout but it failed -miserably - really glad - it ruins a marvellous song.



as soon as columbia opened her mouth - marvellous - same tone as last two tours - -and personally i loved the opera bit - she has one hell of a range.



one bit that really dist racted me - at one point brad - and shortly after -janet- were singing solo - centre stage -and the lighting cast their shadow onto the "doors" used for franks entrance (stop being rude you at the back ! ) - -and the shadows - ( NO not the group !!! ) - of brad or janet were inverted - and looked like giant bats hanging from the roof - -completely put me off what was being sung.



and i hope the chap who this bit is about is reading this - -you were on the last row of the front section of the stalls - -dressed as frank - big bushy black wig and surgical greens on - -PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - - SHUT UP. bellowing like a foghorn every five seconds is not funny at all - -very distracting - thank god i was sat in the back half of the stalls because i really really felt sorry for the people who were sat in front of you. on the last tour i saw a chap just like you - and david bedella stopped singing- looked straight at him -and told him to "shut up" - but a lot more pl ainly - one massive cheer from the audience - and no more noise from the mouth - you deserved the same. dressing up like an idiot is one thing - we all do it for the show - - behaving like one is something else. YOU REALLY DID SPOIL IT !

the "gnome" doing the timewarp was made even worse as she was sat very close to the front at one end of a row - ( i was a few rows behind her ) -and was clearly visible to the cast on stage - i could see they were doing their best NOT to look at her - but they were wanting to burst out laughing



is there anyone clever enough with computer graphics to "create" it - or even anyone silly enough to dress as a gnome - film them timewarping - and then put it on the site

if you are going to have a forums thread about "costumes at the show" what about " the most inappropriate" - - given that i have always thought that the costumes should "reflect" something - at least -to do with the show - and "reflect" is not meant as a comment in any way on your jacket TWW (he lied laughing)



after all - - you wouldnt go to a football game in a scuba outfit



probably the worst I saw was a lady who presumably had been told that "everyone turns up in fancy dress" - - and turned up - very very red faced - as a garden gnome - -it still makes me cry with laughter when I think about it even now !!



a garden gnome doing the timewarp is priceless !!! - - pity camera phones and the internet came too late.

thanks for the reply to the costume one TWW - -it wasnt meant as a having a "go" at anyone or telling them what to wear - -just a headscratcher at obviously one of the biggest fans looking like a clean and presentable navvy off a building site - -TRUST HIM TO WEAR SOMETHING OUTRAGEOUS JUST TO GET NOTICED



i have seen the photos of you in the sparkly jacket - -if i had one - at my size - i would reflect so much light that people would be blinded - -but yours has a rocky connection with the lips.



one last bit on this email - -many more photos of you - - and norman will be getting jealous !!:rofl ---- only joking norman !! - - i am sure norman will be out in full force for the tv ( no pun intended ) cameras that will be in sheffield (on the last night of rocky) for the snooker.

TWW: I don't know why there are lots of me this time around, I'm a photographer so am usually on the other side of the camera. Ironic when I wear a jacket visible from space, I know!
I understand you were not having a go at anyone about costumes, I just wanted to make the point that people are not constrained to just copying costumes on stage or in the movie.

all the regulars in the forums seem to turn up to the show in costume - -can i ask why a certain chap turns up in a high shoulder visibility jacket with badges on? - -cannot place that costume in the film

TWW: But it doesn't have to be a film costume. I turn up at most shows in a very sparkly Jacket, sequins, badges and lights. It's not meant to be a stage accurate costume, if I want to wear one of those I would. Mine started as an outfit for Transylvania '94 and it's just what I wear now. No-one has ever told the fans to dress up in costume, it just evolved from a love of Rocky, so we wear what we want. This would be a great thread for the forums.

a few messages back someone asked if i was "mad" at my point of - - if i dont like the first show then i will sell the tickets for the others - - -well - after reading the spoilers comments - and finding that they have included "gangnam style" - i might not even make it to the first of the booked shows - -the show has a loyal fan base who know the show and story inside out- -



"dilute" it - bit by bit - -then eventually it ceases to be the rocky horror - -the trouble being that anyone seeing it for the first time will think that gangnam style is part of it - and wonder what all the "loonies" are doing with the time warp in the audience



i want to be able to do the basic AP - -with NO shouting out during the songs - -as someone said - -"all the drunks" - - never seen the show before - probably never seen the film either



probably come to look at all the "trannies" and to make fun off them



on the last tour i took 2 female friends -( even bought their outfits for them - i loaned one my 25th anniversary dvd - never got it back - her scumbag of a son sold it for a bit of drugs money - luckily i got another copy off ebay) - -but they did not watch the film - -so when they went to the show they sat there - baffled. - hadnt a clue - i had explained that without watching the film they would be "lost" but they did not listen - -and afterwards they still hadnt aclue about anything - -why i bothered i dont know - -



but if d*ckheads keep turning up to the show - -with the attitude of " laugh at the trannies, make as many crude comments about the girls in underwear, and shout every swear word possible" - then i fear for the show in the long run - -it will be diluted and lost - - - -from a beautiful s ensitive show that can turn people to tears at franks demise - - into one where the braindeads ruin it - -as they have ruined football - and now the shouting is getting worse at the televised snooker championships - -what next at the show - stage invasions???

had a look round on google maps at bucharest in romania - - -found strada transilvaniei - - "travelled" up and down the road - -cannot believe it - - did not spot anybody in a basque or stockings - MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT

Can someone please tell me what merchandise is available this tour?I have Eddie's teddy from last tour and lots of mugs, T-shirts etc. I am hoping for a 40th anniversary mug as I have 25th and 30th.

TWW: Mugs, a tee-shirt, long(ish) pearl strings, and the brochure is in production as I type. We will see if we can add a section once more to the site.
