Nigel is a founder member of the Comic Strip group, trained at LAMDA and has worked extensively in theatre, film and television as an actor and writer.

His theatre credits include: Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray (Stage Entertainment Ltd); the Wizard of Oz in Wicked (Apollo Victoria, London): the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show (Churchill Theatre, Bromley and Opera House, Manchester); Wilberforce in Darwin in Malibu (Hampstead Theatre); Pop in We Will Rock You (Phil Mclntyre Productions); Nicholas Craig in /, An Actor (Richard Temple Productions); Jack McCracken in A Small Family Business (Chichester Festival Theatre); George in Feel Good (Hampstead Theatre and West End); Donny in High Life (Bush Theatre); Amos in Chicago (Adelphi Theatre); Ait's Well That Ends Well (Open-Air Theatre, Regent's Park); Frosch in Die Fledermaus (English National Opera); Nicholas Craig (one-man show at Hampstead Theatre); Douglas Beachey in Man of the Moment (West End); Che in Evita (Robert Stigwood); Neil (international tour and Edinburgh); Outer Limits (tour and London); Comic Strip (Comedy Store and international tour) and Den Denis in Badnews Live (tour and London).

Jeff in Blackeyes, Andrew Veitch in Number 27, Ralph Filthy in Filthy Rich and Catflap, Neil in two series of The Young Ones, Lord Topper in Blackadder III, The Lenny Henry Show.
