Updated with new version Saturday, November 19th, 2022
Well we all know what happened in 2020/2021. Because of the global pandemic several theatres were not printing the usual programmes that were for sale at each venue at the start of the tour.
On the plus side we got this lovely 36 page 325mm x 235mm glossy brochure for the show.
The inside front and back covers have some photos from the original production in 1973, tinted red here, or should that be rose tinted?
There is a one page Rehearsal Diary from Kristian Lavercombe, who plays Riff Raff, taking you through the work involved getting the show up and running and a full page interview with Stephen Webb as he returns to the role of Frank N Furter once more.
The brochure also has a nice visual history of where and when the show has been performed around the world and three pages of black and white rehearsal images shot by the talented Shaun Webb.
There are two pages of cast info with headshots and three pages of information about the creative team behind the show.
The November 2022 updated version of the brochure has 16 pages of full colour production shots taken at the Southampton and Coventry venues and included images of Richard Meek as Brad.
Our Story is a wonderful two page spread of the drawings of show Narrator Philip Franks. You may have seen these online before as he tells a brief history of The Rocky Horror Show with his wonderful illustrations, but seeing them in print gives a whole other dimension to his work. He also did a fans drawing for the rear cover of the brochure.
A cast and crew list finishes off the book.
This is one of the nicest brochures/programmes for the show I have seen over the years, excellent and consistent design by SWD really makes it stand out. One (or two) for the collection is needed.
There was a previous version available at the first few venues with only 20 pages (no production images) and listing Callum Evans as Rocky rather than Ben Westhead as per version two of the brochure.

Original print of the brochure.

Additional Production Photographs pages in version 2.
