After the show closed at the Comedy Theatre, the performing rights were released to professionals in the UK and dozens of companies and Repertory Theatres produced their own productions of the show. The Library Theatre Company in Manchester produced their own successful version of the show at the Forum Theatre in Wythenshawe for 5 weeks and subsequently transferred it to the much lager Palace Theatre, Manchester for a short run.

Local club owner and Female Impersonator Foo Foo Lammar played Frank.
