Collector's Corner Flyers through the years - The 2000's

UK Tour Flyer, July 2006.

The official UK tour of the show, took a well earned break for two years and returned in early 2006 with the new title of "Richard O'Briens" Rocky Horror Show" a title which it has toured under ever since. Only David Bedella had been cast as Frank when tickets went of sale, so on the front cover of the flyer (seen here at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking) was a cartoon picture of Janet drawn by artist Leigh Gallagher, while inside pictures of the 1998 cast doing the Timewarp where used instead of the previous 2003 production. Later in 2006 the images where replaced with the 2006 cast.

For the first time since 1991 the UK tour had a new director - Christopher Luscombe, whose new feel and direction of the show was completely at odds with the previous "party" production of the show. This dark gothic slightly more serious vision of the show with no call backs from the cast to the audience, threw some fans of the show who prefered the lighter more jokey style from previous tours.

Although Richard O'Brien himself was quick to praise the new cast and direction of the show and indeed Christopher Luscombe's production with David Bedella as Frank it proved successful enough to tour from 2006-2007 and again from 2009-2010.
