New Zealand Post (NZ Post) released a series of Rocky Horror Show themed stamps on May 7th, 2025 to commemorate New Zealand Music Month.

The Stamps and first day covers were designed by Chris Jones, Graphetti, Wellington, New Zealand.

The service is quite speedy (just over a week to arrive) and the packaging is very good. Everything we got arrived in perfect condition. Unless stocks are exhausted earlier, these stamps will should on sale until 6th May, 2026. First day covers will remain on sale until 6th May, 2026 as well.

Individual stamps are portrait aspect 25mm x 50mm and gummed (yes, you get to lick the back of them). They are printed on Tullis Russell red phosphor gummed 106gsm paper.

The stamps come in four New Zealand Dollar values:

"LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN" text at $2.30
Frank with "STAY FOR THE NIGHT, OR MAYBE A BITE" text at $3.60
Brad and Janet figures with "DAMN IT JANET I LOVE YOU" text at $4.30
Rocky with "IN JUST SEVEN DAYS I CAN MAKE YOU A MAN" text at $4.90

You are able to buy the Individual Stamps, Sheets (20 stamps with the borders and registration marks), a set of all four stamps as 6 stamp Plate Blocks with borders left on (as shown in our first image above), Logo Blocks, same thing but just two stamps per block, Barcode A Blocks (two of each stamp with a barcode at the bottom) and Barcode B Blocks (two of each stamp with a barcode at the top).

The stamps also fit together to give a completed Lips logo in the centre and you can buy a Se-Tenant Set as shown in the image below which is all four printed in one sheet, or a Se-Tenant Cancelled Set which is the same thing but with a first day stamp to cancel them from further use.

Also available is a Show Miniature Sheet and a Cancelled Show Miniature Sheet as shown below. The main difference with these apart from the black background with "Richard O'Brien presents Rocky Horror Show" text is the Lips in the center have a metallic foil and overgloss.

First Day Covers were also released. These were a franked set of all four stamps with the metallic foil and overgloss stuck to an envelope with a list of details/credits on the reverse.

Also available, an A3 Art Print on 270gsm Mohawk paper.

The Art Print comes complete with an A6 card with an image of the four stamps. (Not actual stamps!)

A Greeting Card Set was also released.

Four cards A6 size are included and on the back of each card there is an image of the corresponding stamp (not actual stamps!) with some text about the characters shown. An A6 overview single sided card is also included in the packaging as well as four envelopes to fit the folded cards.
