Billy Pearce Billy Pearce is one of Britain's most talented comedians. Born in Leeds, he first came to national prominence on Central TV's New Faces. His impact was immediate and led to his first series for the BBC, You Gotta Be Joking. He was honoured to be chosen to host The Children's Royal Variety Performance in 1993, and has now performed in a total of five Children's Royal Variety Shows and three Royal Variety Shows. Billy has appeared on television many times, including Des O'Connor Tonight (LWT); Through the Keyhole, National Lottery Live, Can't Cook Wont Cook (BBC), and three appearances on The Des and Mel Show. Billy's extensive pantomime experience includes topping the bill in Cinderella (Grand, Blackpool Christmas 1993, Alhambra, Bradford 1997 and 2003, and New Theatre, Hull 1999), Aladdin (Alhambra, Christmas 1994, 2002 and 2006, Palace, Manchester 1995, Derngate, Northampton 1998, and Grand, Wolverhampton 2005), Jack and the Beanstalk (Hull New Theatre, Christmas 2001 and the Alhambra in 2002), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (2001/2), and Dick Whittington (2004/5, both at the Alhambra). He is also to appear there in Peter Pan at Christmas 2007, marking Billy's tenth pantomime at the Alhambra. Other work includes Billy Pearce Laughter Show, Roddie O'Neil in Boogie Nights the 70s Musical (both at the Grand, Blackpool), Jimmy Osmond American Jukebox Show alongside Jimmy Osmond and his brothers Jay and Wayne, and he continues to appear in his adult and family shows across the country.
