Brian trained at LAMDA. His theatre credits include: The Play what I Wrote (Nottingham Theatre Royal), Twelfth Night (Nottingham Playhouse), Midams Flowers (Old Red Lion), Loot (Ipswich & tour), Ten Tiny Fingers Nine Tiny Toes (Manchester library), Knuckle (tour), Mrs Warrens Profession (Gardner Centre, Brighton), City Sugar (Prospect Theatre Company), Eh Joe, The Pope's Wedding, The Hostage, Measure for Measure, Endgame, Waiting for Godot, Loot, School tor Wives, A Flea in her Ear, Guys and Dolls, Happy as a Sandbag and A Slight Ache (all Northcott, Exeter).
Brian's TV credits include The Afternoon Play for the BBC, The Sweeney, Minder. Shoestring, Never Come Back, Bergerac The Bill, Peak Practice, Taggart, Judge John Deed, class Act, Birds of a Feather, Return to Blood River and Murder Most Horrid.
Series include Casualty, Uncle Jack, Up the Elephant and Round the Castle, EastEnders Grange Hill, Coronation Street, & Where the Heart Is.
Brian has won a number of awards for his portrayal of Richard Hiliman in Coronation Sheet including Best Bad Boy for Inside Soap awards and Best Actor in a British soap for the Manchester Evening News and received a record breaking six awards at the National Soap Awards. He is also very proud that the Hillman storyline helped the sense win its first BAFTA.
Films include Emma, Still Crazy and 101 Dalmatians.
Brian and his wife also run a corporate event company called The Brilliant Company specialising in Murder Mysteries, Gameshows, Teambuilding Events and Themed Parties.
