Sergio was born in Athens. After completing his national service in the Hellenic Air Force, he won a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation to study at the Guildford School of Acting.

In Athens, Sergio played Fred Casely in Chicago (directed by Gillian Gregory) and Vince Fontaine/Teenangel in Grease (directed by David Gilmore). Since graduating, he has appeared as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast (UK productions number one tour), Harry and The Announcer in Chicago (Adelphi Theatre, West End) in which he also understudied and played the role of Amos Hart, The Giant in Jack and the Beanstalk (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford), Bacchus in Orpheus in the Underworld (Queen Elizabeth Hall) and Magnificent Musicals (Richmond).

His television credits include So Graham Norton! (Channel 4) and Absolutely Fabulous (BBC).
