After completing his training at the Urdang Academy, Marc joined the first national tour of Grease, in which he understudied the roles of Doody and Eugene. He then flew to Germany to joining the cast of Starlight Express to swing and cover Flat-Top and after a fantastic year went to play Mungojerry and cover Skimbleshanks and Coriopat in Cats. This was followed by covering Richie Valens in The Buddy Holly Story in Hamburg. Marc returned to the cast of Cats when he joined the Stuttgart production; this time he had the pleasure of covering Rum Tum Tugger, and then went on to open the German production of Mamma Mia covering Eddie, before being asked to join the London production, in which he also covered the role of Sky.
