Lara studied at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.

She has played roles in a variety of stage productions on tour in Great Britain. Lara has performed in Gotta Sing Gotta Dance, Tap Dance Fever (in the Canadian city of Niagara and also in Johannesburg), All The Fun Of The Fair, You Don`t Bring Me Flowers and Dirty Dancing.

She also appeared in the workshop Humbug The Musical at the Drury Lane and in Manhattan Nights at the Stockport Plaza, Can Can at London's Sadler's Wells and in Grease in Cyprus.

At Harrogate Theatre Lara played in the family shows Dick Whittington, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Aladdin, Mother Goose and Sleeping Beauty. In addition, she played Lina in the short film Glass Body.
