Message: Hoopla again. Am I letter 2000 in the Guest book? If so, do I win a prize? Just kidding! Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEAT LOAF! Keep on rockin' till the final act! Secondly, I noticed on the Rocky New Group a report that the Rocky Birthday show is to be 'shelved'! I'm not trying to spread a bad rumor, and I don't take credit for finding this out. I don't have any connections to Fox or anything. I only write this to inform others.Quoted;"Reasons for the delay have been 'unofficial' but it seems casting is a problem and making the anniversary of the deadline also seemed to be a problem." A Fox spokesperson said the project had not been cancelled, "just shelved for a while". So, please, everyone act orderly, keep open minded, and be strong and try and hang on! If this is false,-sigggggghhhhh- sorry for the heart-attack. But this does seem like a very likely happening, since no one has said anything at all for over a month. It WAS suppose to start filming this month, yes? Oh well. Peace, love, and RHPS and R'oB.

Message: HELLO FELLOW ROCKY FREAKS!!!
Well, I first was introduced to the film aged 14, and immediately fell in love with Tim Curry, Magenta, and the whole concept of not dreaming it, being it...
10 years later and, even after being in the show(which i had never seen),i love it just as much, if not more. I have also converted 7 people to date, who previously had resisted the Timewarp;they now do it with pride. I have yet to go on as Magenta/Janet, but when i do i will be fulfilling a cherished childhood ambition. Wish me luck!! Skydiving next....
Best of luck to Andy Brady in the UK tour,
HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY ROCKY!!!
Love and respect to all Rocky casts, past and present, and all Rocky fans, freaks and friends.
"OHH, ROCKY!!" - Gareth (Worthing), if you're out there, get in touch- still got pink hair?? Sam xxxxxxx

Of course I visited "The Royal Court Theatre" and I asked where the sign is "Rocky Horror was born here on 16 June 1973" but nobody knew what I was talking about. I also bought the book "ROCKY HORROR From Concept to Cult" which you can´t buy here in Germany
By the way I´m 15 and if you want to talk or be e-mail pals please e-mail me !!! I think / hope my English isn´t very bad.

Message: Happy Friday the 13th to all! And I hope we all had a peaceful and quiet Sep. 11th. May Peace, Love, and Kindness to all prevail. And Rocky. For you Tim Curry fans, here in America 'Family Affair' premired last night. Lowdown; Rich guy gets 2 adorable kids dumped into his care from his sister. So now he has to become a daddy. Why is this interesting? TIM stars as his English-Butler (Doorman! Handyman! Ha ha ha!) who is having a worse time coping. Alright, it was as cutesy as hell, and this wasn't anything new. The usual merry mishaps and such. And then the tikes sexy teenage cousin(?) moves in as a motherly figure. Enough Said. Tim is great as always, but it seems that Americans perfer to see his caracters getting flustered in silly situations. C'mon! The guy Can ACT! We don't have to have him simply running around making funny noises like a cliche. And will someone let him SING? -sigh- Well, maybe they will let him get in touch with a hidden 'motherly' side here. He still can raise a brow remarkabley well. (How does he do that?) And I think he'd make a great no-neck Narrator Crim. He has that flawless Sexy Voice/English Accent, and seems to be lacking a neck....... Oh, I love this site's new moving-through-the-stars Welcome/What's new bar. It reminds me of sitting at a window while my mansion drifts through outer space........

Message: And another thing....
Did the casting people know about 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' before they cast Rhona Cameron and Christine Hamilton? And did you see Darren Day singing 'Sweet Transvestite' in it? I only saw bits of it whilst channel surfing.
I think that there will be enough bums on seats without having people just attending, "because they thought Rhona was a hoot in '...Celebrity'!"
Although, there's a thought - lots more 'virgins' for Frank to corrupt!
What next? Tara Palmer Tompkinson as The Usherette?
In the front row heckling Christine Hamilton!

Message: As Kev points out, some... er... interesting choices for Narrator on the new tour. As usual, I will reserve judgement until I've actually seen their performances, but it is a shame that the character of the Narrator is becoming more of a host, rather than the 'Edgar Lustgarten-style of story teller' he was described as in the original script. I do, however, feel that John Stalker is quite an inspired choice really, because, let's face it, he is an actual real life Criminologist.
I'm also with Kev on the idea of Christopher Biggins playing the Narrator, especially as Mr. Biggins has said (in the ROCKY book 'From Concept to Cult') that he'd love to play the role. He'd be a great choice. Anyway, not long now. Roll on Bromley. Can't wait...

Message: I totally agree with everyone about having "nobodies" like Nick and C.Hamilton as The Narrator - what is going on? I am a stage show virgin and was looking forward to catching the show this time around, but it makes me shudder with disgust that RH fans will have to put up with the likes of these idiots in the show.
I think it is an interesting choice to have Jonathan Wilkes as Frank though, I will be looking forward to that (I bet Robbie is jealous he didn't get the gig!).
TW: Robbie played Rocky for half a show for a special charity night some years back, so he has been in the show!

Message: Message: Well people, maybe its me, but can anybody defend the use of non-celebs as "Nasty" Nick from Big Brother and the Hamiltons as the Narrator in Rocky Horror? Hello Rocky London? Ever heard of "Actors", they kinda learn a script and portray character and emotion. Less than two weeks ago, we are all saying how much great Peter Bayliss was as the Narrator, and how he was excellent in the role. The whole point (nowadays) of the Narrator is to keep the flow of the show going, cause lets face it, if you had NEVER heard/seen the stage show before, with all the shouting you might loose the plot a little. Ok they used this kind of casting on Broadway, but lets face it they had some of the biggest names in American televison doing it! Jerry Springer, Dick Cavett, for goodness sake, not some Z list wannabes! I dont believe for one minute that the general public who have never gone to the stage show before will suddenly want to go cause Nick, or Sir John Stalker (Sweet baby Jesus why?) are in it. Was Nick Parsons, Barry Howard etc etc unavailable? If they where why not pay the money and get someone like Chris Biggins to do it????? He would be perfect! His is already linked with Rocky through the film and the guy is an excellent character actor!! Ok maybe I'm over reacting and perhaps they could turn out to do ok, but my point is with 80% of the actors in Equity out of work, I find this casting grim to say the least.
In the bar /toliet/buying merchandise when any of the above are on stage.
The return Of captain Invincible, cause Christopher Lee sings Rich O'Brien tunes in it!

Message: Though it's good to have a new tour come the Autumn, shouldn't the Rocky Horror Company be reading its new cast list back to itself? Specifically the Narrators; Rhona Cameron and John Stalker seem like okay choices, but 'Nasty' Nick Bateman AND Christine Hamilton? Is somebody somewhere in the Duke of York Theatre sitting in the bottom of the barrel scraping vigorously? Much that I love the show in its many guises, but isn't it time to bid farewell to the tour come the 30th Anniversary next year? Then the Company could really make us happy by releasing the rights of the show so the amateurs may have a go.

Message: Arggghhh. One of those days. Woke up witha start when I fell outa bed. Hot and humid, and it was house-cleaning day. And when everyone's spirits are rather crabby, the weather doesn't help. It's enought o make my mum stick on a Guns-N-Roses album! Teach you parents well!Worst yet, mummy and daddy's VCR may be broke, so they may take mine! Oh woe is me!So my Santuary To My room watching of RHPS on Saturday will be.....mercy killed! What the heck is up with Surandon? I really admire her, ALOT. If her gripe is that the money isn't being spread to the right folks, well, GO GIRL! But if she's whining she's not getting enough cash, well.....if you really 'love' the whole RHPS thing like you claim, appear in it for free! That would be the spirit! (I'd appear in it for free, wouldn't you?) Doesn't this sound like the same thing she said about not appearing in 'Shock Treatment'? (For better, for worse, however you think. I won't be the judge.) Dammit Janet. VERY sad to hear 'bout Peter Bayliss. What a guy, makes you cry, and I did! Whatever happened on Saturday Night? Did you have a party? Or one Hell of a party?

Message: Sad news from me today, Peter Bayliss a wonderful Narrator from Tony Heads run in 1990/91 at the Piccadilly Theatre and Peter Blakes 1991 tour has sadly passed away on July 29th aged 80.
He was a narrator very much in the Jonathon Adams mode, lugubrous and tongue firmly in cheek, (Unlike later more force and vulgar narrators) and indeed took over at the Piccadilly from Jonathon at the revival in 1990.
Always great with the fans his instead of opening with "Goodevening" he would say hello in Japanese (?) (which he was studying at the time!)
True to his sense of humour His Obitury in the STAGE newspaper states he wished to be cremated then his ashes Flushed down the lavatory!
Always funny and warm at the stage door, a great guy joins the ranks of those Timewarping up in the Sky.
Happy Times and Places Peter.
TW: Sad news indeed, we saw him a few times on stage and he was very much loved.

Message: Hey, I am at the minute (TRYING!) to arrange a meeting of rocky horror and rent heads in Nottingham (if they confirm that the stage show will be on at that theatre) I want to try and keep it a smallish group so that it is more intimate, i want to arrange it for the last night of the show at that venue.
It will involve you aquiring your own ticket for the last night, and making your own travelling arrangements to the theatre and home, we will meet outside the theatre an hour or so before the show starts so that we can chat and compare costumes, and if ppl want perhaps go for a drink after wards, lol.
If you are interested in this, then please e-mail me at: rhsfreaksmeeting@aol.com with "Join List" in the subject box. Every time some new information about the meeting comes to hand (dates, time etc) an e-mail will be sent out to you:)
If everything works out right it should be a BRILLIANT night, and we might even be able to lure Neil into having a drink with us;)
Luv Reece
