The Rocky Horror Show South African Tour 2013 Participation Pack | |
back to Collectors Corner back to the Cellar |
The Rocky Horror Show tour in South Africa opened on Wednesday 10th July, 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa The show is at The Fugard Theatre, Caledon Street, District 6, Cape Town, South Africa and at time of page publication is presently booking until 31st October 2013 Click here for more information about the production itself. We've been sent some of the limited merchandise from the tour shown here is the Participation Pack and we also have news on the Brochure as well. The Participation Pack is presented in a nice 200mm wide by 120mm deep by 165mm high card box (7 7/8" x 4 5/8" x 6 1/2") in the same distressed black style of the Brochure. On the ends of the pack are a couple of 'Frank' logos with the legends "SO WHY DON'T CHA STAY FOR THE NIGHT ..." and "... OR MAYBE A BITE?", the back of the box has the same lettering as the front (minus the "PULL FOR PLEASURE" tag over the clip) but covering the whole of the back. So what's in the box? Undo the little folded tag on the lid, open the box and you find...... First off there is a little participation guide card, reprinting the notes that are at the back of the Brochure. As per the guide the pack also contains.....
The Newspaper and Glow Stick, plus the Party Blower and Glove are listed on one number in the guide, but I've split them up for this review. Hence you can see five items listed in the guide and seven here. We also got a little card with a unique ID number to enter a competition to win a holiday for two to any South African timeshare resort including air tickets. Haven't seen the Terms & Conditions on that one, but as you have to tear off the slip and drop it in the glass bowl at the merchandise table at the show, I don't think we'll be entering ourselves :-). I like to think of the card more as a unique number for the participation pack, I think they missed a trick there as they could have made it into a little 'limited edition number' type certificate. All in all, another nice collectable item from the South African production. |
